This book is one of the first volumes of the collection MAESTROS DE LA FOTOGRAFÍA EN LA ACADEMIA DE BELLAS ARTES, directed by the academic Publio López Mondéjar. These will be followed by others by Ramón Masats, Alfonso, Pérez Siquier, Santo Yubero and others.
A major figure of the generation of the sixties, his is an intimate and timeless universe. Unaffected by the changing dictates of fashion, Gómez confined himself to a limited and personal visual space in order to construct, honestly and quietly, that stripped-down and profoundly original language that would serve him to access the natural poetry of the humblest things - peeling walls, desolate environments, graffiti, abandoned objects - of which Brassaï spoke.
Texts by Antonio Muñoz Molina and Ramón Masats.
