The series Architectural Monuments of Spain (1852 - 1881), is one of the most far-reaching publishing projects involving graphic art in the 19th century. With the high protection of Queen Isabella II of Spain.
This idea arose at the Special School of Architecture with the aim of collecting and disseminating knowledge about the entire Spanish architectural heritage, in a luxury publication with prints of the highest quality.
The intaglio prints were printed in the Academy's workshops, while the lithographic plates were printed in different workshops in Madrid, supervised by the Academy.
