Darío Urzay is a Spanish painter, engraver and photographer from the Basque Country. He studied Fine Arts at the University of the Basque Country, where he later worked as a professor. Among the awards received are: the Gure Artea Prize of the Basque Government, the National Prize for Graphic Art 2005 for the National Calcography and the Excellent Work Award at the Beijing Biennial. His work can be found in numerous collections such as the Museum of Fine Arts of Bilbao, the Guggenheim Museum, ARTIUM or the MACBA.
