Luis Gordillo, studied law and music but later would continue with his true vocation as a painter, attending for two years the Academy of Fine Arts of Seville. His first steps into avant-garde art in the mid-twentieth century begin with informalism and will continue towards a Pop Art style, in addition to geometric influences. This makes the basis of his style as an artist.
