The artwork that moved the Holy Father and that today forms part of his private apartments in the Vatican. This unique portrait is distinguished by its symbolic language and the incorporation of elements closely linked to the figure of the Pontiff and his personal surroundings: the cross, the papal ring, and the pine landscape visible from his residence, creating a deeply evocative and contemporary artistic interpretation. The artwork was personally presented by the Valencian artist Charo Marín to His Holiness Pope Leo XIV at the beginning of 2026. The original piece, created in 2025, is executed in oil on canvas using mixed media techniques (graphite and ink).
