Elena Jiménez Moreno (Alicante, 1965) is a visual artist, educator, and researcher who has explored different media such as drawing, photography, ceramics, and installation, although printmaking has been the medium with the greatest continuity throughout her extensive career and the one that best defines her creative practice. For more than four decades, the artist has focused her practice and research on the syntactic and communicative possibilities of printmaking systems. Her work reflects on representation and identity, using a boundary-crossing device between multidisciplinary processes through which she rethinks the limits of seriality and reproduction. In addition, she is a member of the board of directors of the MAV association (Women in the Visual Arts), further consolidating her active commitment to the professional and associative spheres of contemporary art.

Throughout her career, she has developed extensive international training and a broad teaching practice. Among her numerous awards, the 2025 National Printmaking Award, granted by the Calcografía Nacional, stands out as particularly significant, being one of the most important artistic recognitions in Spain. This award adds to an extensive list of national and international prizes and to her presence in numerous collections, confirming her prominent position within contemporary Spanish printmaking.
