For logistical reasons, cast reproductions are not shipped. Only the in-store pickup option is available for purchases. If you wish to have the piece delivered to your home, you will need to hire a transportation company at your own responsibility.

The original torso, in Pentelic marble, belongs to the Vatican Museum. The statue was discovered in its present state in the Campo de' Fiori (Rome) during the Papacy of Julius II (1503-1513). In the 16th century it was located in the Colonna Palace (Rome). Under the Papacy of Clement VII, it was placed at the Vatican Belvedere, where it took its current name. Recent studies consider that it is a copy of a more ancient statue, probably dating from the 2nd century B.C.
