Joaquín Pro was a Spanish intaglio engraver, trained at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, student of Manuel Salvador Carmona. Thanks to his skill, since the Academy only had the best artists for his projects, he participated in the Portraits of the Illustrious Spaniards or the Views of the Seaports of Spain. In addition to these projects he also made reproductions of important artists such as Antonio Carnicero or Nicolás de Largillière, among others.
